The challenge was to find the best luxury accommodation under and around 100 dollars in South East Asia. The was a key element of my recent trip. Every trip I always set myself a particular challenge, whether it being finding the best gyoza in Japan, or finding the best gelato store in Florence, or working out the best travel hacks to keep flight costs down. I find the notion of these challenge to be a fun way to expand my knowledge of the travel industry and to further explore my destination choices.
On this particular trip keeping to a budget was important, yet I didn’t want to compromise on the comfort or cleanliness of the places I was staying. Being in a convenient location and having little touches of luxury were also priorities in deciding where I stayed. $100 Australian dollars seemed an appropriate amount to spend on each nights accommodation. Between a couple $50 per person per night is quite excellent value. Yes we could have budgeted considerably less in Asia. Yet this figure allowed us to select higher end accommodation options where we could relax and know that we were safe, comfortable and would be take care of. In Asia you can spend a ridiculous amount on accommodation and indulge in 5 star pure luxury, but after some basic research I was happy to discover that I could stay in beautiful 4 star and 5 star properties for very reasonable rates.
By going direct with hotels, or searching for wonderful online bargains we managed to keep our budget in check with the following seven properties.
I’m so happy to share this information with you guys, to prove to you that you can experience luxury travels on a budget and also to show off the excellent hotel choices that we made.

This place is a gem. Accommodation Singapore- Hotel Yan.
This pint size hotel is perfect for those wanting a quiet and comfortable place to retreat to at the end of the day, and who aren’t worried about the size of the room. Their standard rooms fit in luxurious queen beds, and thats about it! You’ll have to walk through your bathroom to enter the room, but this super clean and friendly hotel is ideal looking for somewhere to crash at night whilst they spend the rest of the exploring Singapore. Hotel Yan wins big points for its location within easy walk of hawker food centres, hipster coffee shops and easy walking distance to local transport.

Accommodation Siem Reap Cambodia – The Pavillion D’Orient Boutique Hotel
Looking for incredible value, not one but two luxury pools, delicious breakfasts, enormous comfortable rooms? This is the place for you. I’ll admit that it wasn’t my first choice for Siem Reap, but it turned out to be the perfect choice. The accommodation is spacious, airy, clean and modern. You’ll find beautiful pools and lounge areas surrounded by tropical gardens and overhanging mango trees. The most important tip is to book directly with the hotel for insane bonuses that make this the best deal in Asia. Along with a beautiful room you get daily breakfast, daily fresh fruit platters, a bottle of wine upon arrival, a blissful massage and your own private tuk tuk driver at your beck and call.
Price: $112 * Note: You could easily find this hotel priced around or under the $100 dollar mark, but by booking directly with the hotel for a slightly higher price you get all those amazing bonuses mentioned above. Having a private tuk tuk driver will save you around $30 per day. Thats just start of it! Financially booking direct makes sense!

Sticking to a budget of only 100 Australian dollars per night proved to be an easy challenge. There are plenty of amazing properties on the market in South East Asia. Travellers can find a touch of luxury for a great price. You don’t have to spend a huge amount of money to lounge beside stunningly designed infinity pools or to stay in fancy accommodation. South East Asia is a travellers paradise and an experience that should not be missed.
